Flight #101
3 December 2023 • Dockweiler • Hang I - Beginner
My twenty third day of flying at Dockweiler and my seventeenth flights on the rental Falcon 2 195. Excellent day. Still had around 10 flights. That puts me at about 225+ flights at the beach. The winds were light, around 6mph to 7mph all day, but they were fairly steady. I worked on keeping that angle low and my launches went really well. I had one bad launch, the result of getting lazy. It was a great learning experience. I learned to look at a target way out on the horizon, as a way to keep my wings level and to ease the glider out to trim. I also learned to make sure I stay loose and allow the glider to rise through my hands. I also learned how to carry the glider up the hill pointed nose-down and I learned to maintain a bottleneck grip firmly, so I don't have to rely upon a grapevine grip to ground handle. All in all, a very educational day!
