Flight #113

25 February 2024 • Andy Jackson Training Hill • Hang I - Beginner

Flew the my own Wills Wing Falcon 195 off the 120' training hill and did great in 0mph to 3mph wind. It was my first time doing zero-wind launches on that hill. I only did 3 flights, but I was also testing my GreyFit Cocoon Harness for the first time. I wanted to make sure I was comfortable launching and landing with it and that there were no odd or unexpected issues. Everything worked great and it flew beautifully. The harness is a little loose and the leg-loops have to slide up as the glider launches. In my training harness, the leg loops are always tight, so that's a little different. But otherwise, it's comfortable. My trim speed is a little faster too, due to moving the hangstrap forward. The lack of wind was a factor in making my flight less floaty and increasing my groundspeed too. I now have around 23 flights from the 120' Andy Jackson training hill. That gives me a total of about 276+ foot launch flights.
