Flight #126

11 July 2024 • Dockweiler • Hang II - Novice

My 35th day of flying at Dockweiler. Had around 5 flights. That puts me at about 335+ flights at the beach. That makes about 362+ foot launch flights in total. The winds were around 4mph to 6mph all day. Took delivery of my new North Wing EZ2 190 today. Andy Beem did a test flight, then I flew it for the rest of the day. It flew great with my training harness hooked into the main. When I switched to my cocoon, I nearly crashed, because the legstraps were too loose and they fell around my thighs. I did eventually get one good flight with the cocoon, but it wasn't great. At first I may need a much shorter hang strap since the harness is set up for a Wills Wing control frame and the North Wing has a DHV control frame. But, once I took some measurements, the frames are nearly identical in size, so the hang straps should be similar.
