Flight #17
20 June 1998 • Saline, MI • Hang 0 - Student
Fantastic! My best flight yet. For the first time, I flew all the way up on tow and all the way down to land. It was a sunset flight and the lights of Saline glittered below... Like the Peter Pan ride at DisneyWorld when I was 6. Hit the prop wash at release. Weird sensation. Landing was smooth. The 20 feet the temperature dropped by 20 degrees. I flared a little at landing only because I had sunglasses on and in the dark I thought the ground was closer. Saw my first fireflies of the year as I landed.
