Flight #66
9 June 2001 • Webberville, MI • Hang II - Novice
First flight of 2001. A dull little sledride. I waited around all day only to launch in the evening. Had a weaklink break on the first tow attempt. Second time that has ever happened. This time it was a lot less scary than the first. I just pulled in and landed smooth. Tow was fairly easy. I saw some deer in a field again once I got released. Ran with no altimeter but I didn't need one. No thermal (except one little bump) and I can judge my altitude well enough now that I can tell when I need to land. Very long day for one flight. But worth it as always.
