Flight #78

17 June 2023 • Dockweiler • Hang 0 - Student

My eighth day of flying at Dockweiler and my second flights on the Falcon 2 195. Was very disappointed I did not get my Hang I sign off yet. That sucks. But, in good news, I tried my first-ever flairs and did okay. They were awkward and sloppy, but at least I did them. I also assembled and broke down the glider all by myself. The tiedown came loose at one point, which terrified me. I need to work on learning more knots. I also found out Windsports has a brand new Wills Wing Falcon 4 195 they will give me for $4800. I don't think I can pass that up. A pilot named Seth showed up with a Moyes Malibu 2 188. Cool glider. Neat to see it in person. Had a lot of great flights and a few bad launches. The wind was really strong, pushing about 10MPH, making it really hard to control the glider. Still had more than 10 flights though. I'd guess maybe 12. That puts me at about 80+ flights at the beach.
