Flight #83
16 July 2023 • Dockweiler • Hang I - Beginner
My thirteenth day of flying at Dockweiler and my seventh flights on the rental Falcon 2 195. Excellent day. Still had around 10 to 12 flights. That puts me at about 130+ flights at the beach. Had two really crappy launches. Crashed once, but didn't break anything. My crash was caused by a bad crosswind rotor lifting my right wing and throwing me into a left turn. I made a bad decision to launch, knowing the rotor was there. Lesson learned, never be impatient. The other launch was caused by not running fast enough. The rest of my flights were all really good. When I ran my butt off, it was easy to get airborne. Winds were very light. Only about 6 to 8mph with occasional gusts to 10mph.
